Crimean
war & Panorama-museum (2 hours)
We start from the famous city embankment where you can see entrance
to Sevastopol harbor with a fortresses that protected it during the
Crimean war. Also you’ll see here the symbol of Sevastopol –
monument to scuttled ships sunk by Russians to prevent the fleet
from falling into the hands of the enemy.
Then we drive to the famous Panorama-museum devoted to the first
siege of Sevastopol (1854-1855) during the Crimean War (1853-1856).
You’ll see the only one Panorama in Ukraine, which is the battle
painting on the canvas (115 m long, 14 m high), which is not only
the canvas but the object plan. The panorama building is situated on
one of the Sevastopol highs where nowadays military fortifications
of the Crimean War period are being exposed (artillery yards with
old Russian cannons).
In
addition we can visit The Sheremetiev’s museum (2 hours
more) - it has one of the biggest collections of rarities belonging
to the time of Crimean War in the world.
The museum is located inside the
most secret submarine tunnel in Balaklava. On the way there you can
visit French cemetery and see famous Northern part of Balaklava
valley, named the Valley of death – where the Charge of
Light brigade took place.
On the way back from the
Sheremetiev’s museum we can visit the
Malakhov Barrow
(1 hour more) – the memorial complex dedicated to the first defense of
Sevastopol. During the defense of Sevastopol 1854-1855 the Malakhov
barrow located in the heart of defense, protected the city from the
East. Here was one of the main command posts of the Defense. And two leaders of
Sevastopol defense – two admirals have been fatally wounded on
Malakhov bastion – Vice-Admiral Vladimir Kornilov on October 5,
1854 and Admiral Nakhimov on June 27 1855. On August 27 the Malakhov
barrow finally has been captured by French battalion. The loss of
the barrow
became the cause of the ending of Sevastopol 350 days defense. We'll
pay respect to the fallen heroes and walk along the Friendship alley
(planted by celebrities from all over the world).
The last point of interest during this excursion is St.Vladimir cathedral (half hour more) that located
on the Central Hill of Sevastopol. It has been built as the burial
place of renowned Russian admirals, perished during the Crimean War.
The
Black See Fleet-museum (2 hours)
The Black See Fleet-museum is one of the oldest navel museums on the
territory of the former USSR. It was opened in 1869. Also we’ll
explore the Central hill of Sevastopol with St.Vladimir cathedral
that has been built as the burial place of renowned Russian
admirals, perished during the Crimean War. At the end of the tour we
will go to Sevastopol bay to look at Russian and Ukrainian Navies.
And
as a special treat we can organize a Boat trip along Russian
Naval ships (1 h) where you can see different Russian combat and
auxiliary ships including a submarine. One of the best ways to bring
home wonderful photos!

Chersonese
Tour (3 hours)
Two
thousands years back in time - Chersonese, an ancient Greek city
with 2000 years of history behind it - visiting the ruins of ancient
Chersonese - now the historical museum of ancient Greek city-colony
of the 6th century BC-the 15th century AD with the exhibits of
ancient ruins.
Sea-gate
of Sevastopol (3 hours)

Dolphinarium, Sea World Zoo)
From
May to October you
can enjoy dolphin and sea lion show with the opportunity of dolphin
therapy. In the tanks and pools of aquarium you will see the
representatives of the sea world of not only the Black Sea but of
the other tropical seas.

Sevastopol
as a starting point of Christianity in Ukraine (4 hours)
We'll
go back in time to year 988 when the Kyivan prince Volodymyr
Svyatoslavovych captured the ancient Sevastopol, where he was
converted to Christianity. You will have a unique opportunity to
visit cave monasteries with cathedrals and churches of Sevastopol
dated back to 8-9 centuries of the last millennium - Saint George
Monastery (cape Fiolet with an optional visit of one of the most
known and beautiful beaches of Sevastopol area), Saint Clement
Monastery and fortress Calamite. Optional combination with
Chersonese Tour and exploring Saint Vladimir's cathedral.

Balaklava
- Submarine
underground base and fortress of Chombal (4
hours)
This
excursion is for those who want to feel the power and see the remains
of the object that ones was the most secret object in Crimea -
Underground submarine base in Balaklava.
We start our tour with a 40 minute car ride to Balaklava Bay and
take 1,5 hour excursion to the submarine tunnel. Together we'll
explore the base that designed for the simultaneous repair &
maintenance of 7 submarines. It could shelter 3000 people in case of
attack and could operate autonomously for 3 years! And at the end we
take 1 hour hike to the
ruins of Chombal fortress left from the Roman times. Optional
rent of motor boat for exploring the Bay and making photos.

65th
Anniversary of the Victory in World War II - Defense
and liberation of Sevastopol (4-5 hours)
We
start from Admiral Nakhimov Square where you can see the Monument
devoted to the defense of Sevastopol in 1941-1942 during the Axis
siege which lasted for 250 days. Then we drive to the museum of
liberation of the city which is located on the Sapun mountain. With our
guide you'll get back in time and go through dark years of occupation
of Sevastopol before it was liberated by the Red Army on May 9,
1944. We finish this excursion at the museum of defense located on
the position of the 35th battery (Maxim Gorky 2) – the last point
of defense of the city.
